The flow of air and moisture through a building's structure controls both the permeability of the building and the health of the people who live and work inside.  Moisture build-up has caused the collapse of buildings and has been linked to dust mites, asthma, allergies and comfort.

Measuring this has been difficult, expensive and time-consuming.  Now, Versaperm's latest equipment range has not only made it much faster, less costly and more accurate, but it can optionally control temperature conditions.  This allows measurement to mimic the diurnal cycle everything from winter's sub-zero temperatures through to summer's blazingly hottest days – and beyond!

Materials and structures as diverse as paint, building boards, walls, screeds, laminates, roofing felts and vapour barriers are all part of the vapour/ moisture control of a building.  And the only way of ensuring that the results meet the needs and regulations is to test them, especially when structures rely on multiple components and assemblies.

Versaperm's permeability meters range can measure the permeability of anything from a single vapour barrier through to a complete wall structure, including, adhesives, mastics and other sealing or structural materials.

With their latest range of sensors, results are typically accurate in the parts per million range and the equipment can optionally measure this not just for water vapour but also for CO2, hydrocarbons, oxygen and virtually any other gas or vapour.

Versaperm is a world-technology leader and offers not just equipment but also a fast turn-around building products lab testing service.  Results from our testing service are typically produced within 24 hours.
